Role purpose
Design, configure and support client infrastructure and systems required for QDKC implementation, with controlled access and documented handover to client operations.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver QDKC-aligned client work using the official guides, templates and frameworks relevant to the engagement.
- Assess client evidence, facilitate workshops and produce traceable recommendations or implementation deliverables.
- For client engagements, provision and support approved infrastructure and system environments.
- Manage engagement work and support clients in managing configurations, connectivity, access, patching and monitoring.
- For client engagements, support platform implementations, integrations, backup and recovery.
- Help clients establish and maintain operational documentation and service records.
- Transfer knowledge to client personnel and document decisions, assumptions, dependencies and handover requirements.
- Respect client governance: consultants advise, facilitate and deliver, but do not replace the client's accountable owners, approvers or governance bodies.
Recommended minimum requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree or diploma in information technology, computer science or a related field.
Experience: Typically 3-8 years in infrastructure, systems administration, cloud or enterprise application support.
Core competencies: Infrastructure operations, Systems administration, Networking, Monitoring, Backup/recovery, Change and incident management
Preferred certifications
Preferred, but not mandatory:
- Relevant cloud or infrastructure certification
- IT service-management certification
