Role purpose
Help clients define, assess and improve data quality through profiling, rules, monitoring, issue management and remediation planning grounded in QDKC.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver QDKC-aligned client work using the official guides, templates and frameworks relevant to the engagement.
- Assess client evidence, facilitate workshops and produce traceable recommendations or implementation deliverables.
- Facilitate and document client decisions on data-quality dimensions, rules, thresholds and monitoring plans.
- For client engagements, profile datasets, validate rules and analyze quality results.
- Help clients establish and maintain issue registers, root-cause analysis and remediation tracking.
- Facilitate and coordinate client data owners, stewards, architects and technical teams.
- Transfer knowledge to client personnel and document decisions, assumptions, dependencies and handover requirements.
- Respect client governance: consultants advise, facilitate and deliver, but do not replace the client's accountable owners, approvers or governance bodies.
Recommended minimum requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, computer science, information systems or a related field.
Experience: Typically 4-8 years in data quality, data analysis, testing, governance or data engineering.
Core competencies: Data profiling, Rule design, Root-cause analysis, SQL and analysis, Issue prioritization, Quality monitoring
Preferred certifications
Preferred, but not mandatory:
- CDMP Associate or Practitioner, with Data Quality specialty preferred
- ISTQB CTFL where testing is material
