Role purpose
Lead the consulting firm's client portfolio for data management, governance and security, shape engagement strategy and provide senior quality assurance for QDKC-aligned transformation programmes.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver QDKC-aligned client work using the official guides, templates and frameworks relevant to the engagement.
- Assess client evidence, facilitate workshops and produce traceable recommendations or implementation deliverables.
- Advise client leaders on executive direction for data management, governance, security and value realization.
- Support client sponsors in the data strategy, operating model, policy portfolio, roadmap and investment priorities.
- For client engagements, bridge business and technology leadership and resolve cross-entity ownership or risk issues.
- Prepare evidence and recommendations for client approval of major data initiatives, standards, architecture decisions and performance measures.
- Transfer knowledge to client personnel and document decisions, assumptions, dependencies and handover requirements.
- Respect client governance: consultants advise, facilitate and deliver, but do not replace the client's accountable owners, approvers or governance bodies.
Recommended minimum requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in data management, information systems, computer science, cybersecurity, business or a related field; master's degree preferred.
Experience: Typically 12+ years in data, digital, technology or information governance, including 5+ years leading enterprise or public-sector functions.
Core competencies: Enterprise data leadership, Government governance and policy, Risk and security oversight, Portfolio prioritization, Executive communication, Organizational change
Preferred certifications
Preferred, but not mandatory:
- CDMP Practitioner or Master
- CISM or CISSP
- PMP or PgMP
