Senior Manager, Data Architecture & Analytics

Role purpose

Lead client engagements covering data architecture, modeling, engineering, platforms and analytics, ensuring that recommended designs are scalable, secure, interoperable and implementable.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver QDKC-aligned client work using the official guides, templates and frameworks relevant to the engagement.
  • Assess client evidence, facilitate workshops and produce traceable recommendations or implementation deliverables.
  • Advise client leaders on architecture, modeling, integration and analytics direction.
  • For client engagements, oversee target-state designs, platforms, data products, indicators and dashboards.
  • Assess and support client implementation of technical designs align with business priorities, security and national standards.
  • For client engagements, govern architecture decisions, design reviews, technical debt and implementation roadmaps.
  • Transfer knowledge to client personnel and document decisions, assumptions, dependencies and handover requirements.
  • Respect client governance: consultants advise, facilitate and deliver, but do not replace the client's accountable owners, approvers or governance bodies.

Recommended minimum requirements

Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, data engineering, information systems or a related field; master's degree preferred.

Experience: Typically 10+ years in architecture, data engineering or analytics, including 4+ years in technical leadership.

Core competencies: Enterprise and data architecture, Data modeling, Analytics platforms, Integration patterns, Technical governance, Leadership

Preferred certifications

Preferred, but not mandatory:

  • TOGAF Enterprise Architecture Practitioner
  • CDMP Practitioner or Master
  • Cloud data certification
