Prerequisites

None to sit the Fundamentals exam. DAMA positions Associate for under 2 years of experience, Practitioner for 2 to 10 years, and Master for 10+ years with leadership experience and a CV review.

Examination

Online, proctored exams administered through DAMA International. The Data Management Fundamentals exam is required for all CDMP levels; Practitioner and Master also require two Specialist exams. ESL candidates receive an additional 20 minutes.

Certification

• CDMP is awarded by DAMA International and is valid for 3 years; renewal is through submitted Continuing Professional Development activities
• All exams are based on the DAMA-DMBOK, 2nd edition
• The certification and exams are issued by DAMA International; DAI provides the training
